Promoting Wellbeing

Foyer resident Taelor has been working hard to get into sustainable employment with the support of the Working Well programme. After a period of illness which left him feeling low, Taelor was keen to get back into playing Rugby. He was successful in obtaining sponsorship to play for local team Old Culverhaysians, so we were pleased to support him with a wellbeing grant to buy new boots so he could take up his place in the team.

Exercise is a proven mood lifter, and taking part in team sports develops discipline, timekeeping, & communication skills – all qualities that are valuable to employers. Since starting to play regularly again Taelor has got a new job which he is really enjoying. Proof that looking after your wellbeing is vital to success in other areas of life!

If you are 16-25 and have a wellbeing or employability goal you need assistance with, you can apply to Working Well for amounts up to £50. Email foyertraining@curo-group.co.uk for more info.
